After years of speculation, Dexter Issac, a convict and former associate of Czar Entertainment CEO James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, has come forward and admitted to shooting rap legend Tupac Shakur in 1994 under the orders of Rosemond.

In a statement to allhiphop.com, Issac—who is currently serving a life sentence in prison for murder and robbery convictions—confessed to assaulting Shakur on November 30, 1994 at Quad Studios for $2,500 given to him by Rosemond.

“In 1994, James Rosemond hired me to rob [Tupac] Shakur at the Quad Studio,” Issac wrote.“He gave me $2,500 plus all the jewelry I took, except for one ring which he wanted for himself.”

“I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman],” he continued. “I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Biggie's] mothers some closure.”

As hip-hop fans know, Tupac was reportedly shot five times on the night of November 30. It is unclear if Issac admitted to firing all five shots. The Notorious B.I.G. was also in the studio at the time of ’Pac’s attack, and Shakur believed that he had something to do with the incident, which resulted in a deadly feud between the two MCs.

This isn’t the first time Rosemond’s name has come up in the attack. Shakur fingered Rosemond in the shooting on his song “Against All Odds” “And did I mention/Promised a payback, Jimmy Henchman/In due time/I knew you bitch niggas was listening/The world is mine/Set me up/Wet me up/Niggas stuck me up/Heard the guns bust/But you tricks never shut me up.

As previously reported, Rosemond is currently on the run following a federal arrest warrant for his alleged involvement in a cocaine distribution ring. In a statement issued to XXLMag.com on May 23, 2011 Rosemond called Issac an informant that was helping the government in their case against him. “If the government is relying on informants like Winston ‘Winnie’ Harris, a convicted drug dealer and Jamaican deportee, who came to me and motioned via hand signal that he was forced to wear a wire and begged me to skip town or Dexter Isaac who is serving life in prison plus 30 years then I’m sure I will not be offered a fair trial. Where’s the real proof that I have committed these crimes? I just want my fair trial and to not be railroaded as they so eagerly want to do.”

Issac said these false allegations by Rosemond motivated him to come forward. He also said, that since the statute of limitations on the crime is up, he feels comfortable admitting his wrongdoing.

Tupac would have turned 40 years old tomorrow, June 16.

French documentary journalist Alex Jordanov showed me the government documents that prove Rosemond was a U.S. Intelligence collaborator. But, I'm not sure the lyrics are quoted correctly above, unless they left the line out about Haitian Jacques, which is Haitian Jacques Agnant who was also involved in that set up and the sex abuse charge set up.
John, those lyrics are quoted correctly it goes watch me lace this rap with the real live tale about a snitch named Haitian Jack, knew he was working for the FEDs, same crime, different trial, picture what he said, and did i mention, witness the payback Jimmy Henchman, in time i knew your bitch n#gg@z is listenin', the world is mine!" he then goes on in the song to also call out King Tut. Classic!

thanks asher, i knew he mentioned both in there, it's just the order of it. thanks for posting this. that incident is very important with all of the other growing evidence of the increasing sophistication and massive attempt to silence tupac by U.S. Intelligence.

We going to dig into all of that tonight... honestly i wish i had more sleep and was a little better prepared to receive you, have been grinding for the last 96 hours to get us to Atlanta tomorrow for Pac's birthday and we just booked our flights so it pays off... however, I would not miss this opportunity to meet you tonight in person and delve into the mysteries to uncover these inconsistencies, Truth About Tupac is a Movement!

this is pretty amazin news....better late than never for it to be revealed....u guys really think hes givin away this info for Pac an BIG's families to find closure??...or for the purpose of a deal??...lol...either way its good its out now....and wow...Crazy Timing too.....one day b4 Pac's BDay....like article says...he woulda been 40....

Early B-Day present for Pac's fam....and Pac's memory.....

THERE`S THE CHAIN HE WAS ROBBED OF.

I had just left a comment last month on a youtube video interview "Jimmy Henchman" did  because everything inside of me told me he was lying. Are we really surprised by this news? Tupac told us what happened. He knew.

wuts up with this Ring that this J.R. guy wanted...wut is it?....does it hold some kinda importance??
It could be important because it was worth $30,000. I think that if it held any real personal significance then he wouldve kept it for himself rather than planning to have it placed in a new setting for his fiance'. Just my opinion. If all of this pans out then i feel the "robbery" took place for one reason and one reason only and it certainly had nothing to do with the jewlery. Let us not forget the diamond encrusted rolex that was left behind and was purportedly one of his favorite pieces.
