Earlier thais year a story went viral among hip hop and conspiracy enthusiasts, entitled "Retired cop says he helped Tupac fake his own death (and that he's still alive somewhere)." link The article claimed that retired Las Vegas Metro Police Officer named David Meyers was on his death bed and wanted the world to know the truth about his involvement in covering up the faking of Tupac's "death."

According to the article, Meyers received 1.5 million to cover up and stage 2Pac's "death". The story caught on and took off like wildfire, maybe due to the fact it seemed to correspond and corroborate some of the statements made by Suge Knight in recent years to TMZ and other online media outlets, claiming that he paid the coroner who then disappeared in the sunset.

Now that TruthAboutTupac.com has uncovered the original source of the article, which was stolen and faked, new questions and ironies to this story have emerged. While there is no "David Meyers" , he was never a LVMP officer, and he never helped 2Pac fake his death - however - it's quite interesting that this story was taken from a CNN article about a "Dead Mississippi man who began breathing in the embalming room" link ,

Literally, a man by the name of Walter Williams, was being sent to the embalming room when he began kicking in the bodybag and came back to life (or was never dead). What's even more interesting is that the original CNN article about a death (and "resurrection" if you will) in Mississippi, quotes Mike Meyers, the coroner from Clark County Nevada (which is the coroners office that Tupac passed through).

In the article, Mike Murphy, the coroner for Clark County, Nevada, and past president of the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners, said he couldn't comment on this specific case without knowing all the details, but he's read news reports of people returning to life at funeral homes "from time to time."

So the question is why would Mike Murphy, the coroner from Clark County, Nevada, be the one to be interviewed about this man Walter Williams miraculously surviving? Kind of ironic considering all that has been in the news about Suge Knight allegedly paying someone in the coroners office to help Tupac fake his death. Kind of ironic considering that a man being sent to be embalmed in a body bag comes back to life, but Tupac faking his death is out of the question. Wonder who was responsible for this article going viral?
